What are customs duties and who pays them?

Customs duties are taxes imposed on imported goods, and they can vary by country. Different rules and rates often apply to different types of products. Additionally, rules and tariffs may differ depending on the country where you receive the goods or from which you are traveling. There are often exemptions allowing you to import certain goods and/or goods up to a certain limit duty-free.

When you enter a country, you are generally required to declare any items you are bringing with you. It is important to be honest and careful when filling out customs forms, as violating customs regulations can result in penalties and confiscation of goods.

How can I pay customs duties?

According to Parlaxy’s rules, travelers are responsible for all customs fees associated with the order. We recommend that both clients and travelers research current customs duties in advance so that travelers can factor in the necessary amount into their reward when creating the delivery offer. Please note that customs regulations can vary by country.

Since customs rules can be complex and sometimes unpredictable, some clients agree via the Parlaxy chat to reimburse travelers for customs fees personally upon delivery of the goods. Both the traveler and the client should clearly agree on this arrangement before the delivery. Travelers should present clients with copies of receipts for customs payments. Please note that neither clients nor Parlaxy are responsible for violations of customs regulations by travelers
